Multiple-Level Tectonic Control of Coalbed Methane Occurrence in the Huaibei Coalfield of Anhui Province, China

The Huaibei coalfield is an important coal base and one of the hot spots coalbed methane development in China. Therefore, a detailed understanding gas occurrence great significance. This paper analyzes from perspective multiple-level tectonic control, i.e., regional level, mining area mine level. study deduces that characterized by control. At located southeast margin North China plate, affected evolution plate Dabie–Tanlu–Sulu orogenic belt. geological complex, leading to high content serious hazard. controlled east–west faults, NNE Xuzhou–Suzhou arc nappe tectonic, which results highest Suxian area, followed Linhuan Suixiao while lowest amount occurs Guoyang area. considering as example, distance Tancheng–Lujiang fault zone intensity compression, east highest, mines south, west lowest. buried depth seam, tensional normal fault, magmatic activity, uplift erosion strata. Finally, findings this may help prevention hazard exploration other coalfields similar characteristics.
